Westin Grand Vancouver, Condo Developers Don’t Always Win!
November 30th, 2008It is nice to see that the big guys do not always win.
The developers of the Westin Grand have been found liable for providing unreasonable financial projections to investors when they sold the project back in 1999. You may recognize the name of one of the developers, “Cressy” For more information read the Vancouver Sun article “Developers found liable in investor suit”.
Of course it is not nice to see any situation like this, but it is nice to know that you can challenge a developer and win if you have been wronged. I imagine there will be more such cases.
But before all the investors out there who have lost in the current market get any ideas, you won’t get to far with greed as your defence when trying to have a developer take the fall for you.
