Condo Living and Gardening

April 14th, 2009

OK, this is not something I would normally write about but it cought my eye and I thought why not? I never really thought about the fact that if you live in a condo but like gardening there may be a gap in condo living that needs to be filled. I found this post on Condo Blog. Enjoy.

i’ve been doing it for years and don’t buy veggies for most of the season :-) my advice for non windy spaces: grow vertical, use light plastic pots and a hanging basket mix instead of soil if you want to squeeze in lots of plants without the weight issue, mulch, plant to attract hummingbirds and bees – they will pollinate your crops, check out hybrid varieties of squash and tomato that stay small and tidy, companion plant to save space and ward off pests, use trays and feet under pots to save your deck from rotting, have fun!
