Seems that no matter where you go the issues are the same, funny how that works. South of the border in Vancouver Washington there is a massive multi-family (among other components) development being planned in one of the worst economic times.
I know most people probably wonder why this would be on the table right now. [...]

Looks like building is not the only thing Millennium is good at. Making deals with politicians and cities seems to be something that comes easy for them.
Of course I am not acutely aware of the dealings that brought about these deals, so all I can really do is point out the fact that they seem [...]

The reader points out that there are plenty of windows in place and much finishing work being done. In my post I was referencing and article on the CTV.ca site [...]

Well it seems that the problems we have seen with some of the developers here in the lower mainland, and other places in Canada and North America are not isolated occurrences.
In the once development thriving Dubai, there seem to be numerous developers who are stalling on projects while continuing to collect deposits [...]

Another look at the state of the condo market, this time form an Eastern Perspective. Financial Post Article “Consumers nervous about buying condominiums” talks about the development situation in Toronto.
Although the article focuses on Toronto, the situation is similar across the country.
Although developers large and small both make a case for the fact [...]

It seems there is once city in Canada that is not seeing projects fail, put on hold etc. during these uncertain times. Edmonton has seen a decline in Real Estate prices over the last year that is equal or greater than many other cities in the country, yet they seem to be immune so [...]
