Why is it that the government is always discouraging people from being in business, taking initiative etc.
In the case of rental housing, looks like the city wants to tell property owners that if they evict a tenant to make improvements they must let them re-occupy once the improvements are done at the same rent. OK, [...]

Seems that the lowering prices and interest rates are getting some buyers excited again about getting into the market. This may not mean that starting tomorrow there will be a flood of new buyers again, but I think it is likely that early in 2009 we will see buyers coming back to the table again.

RBC has come out with an interesting report indicating that although prices have started to come down in the lower Mainland, it still costs almost twice as much to own here as other places in the country. The one exception seems to be condo which are at about 70% higher than other places.
